Thomas Ostergard, MD, is a board certified neurosurgeon. He joined Huntsville Hospital’s Spine & Neuro Center in January 2025 after five years of service as a neurosurgeon in North Carolina.

Dr. Ostergard is originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. After receiving his undergraduate degree in mathematics and economics at the University of Texas at Austin, he began working as an investment banker. However, he didn’t feel that career was for him. Dr. Ostergard brings five years of experience caring for complex surgical conditions of the spine and brain to Spine & Neuro. He specializes in surgical intervention for skull base tumors, minimally-invasive spinal fusion, minimally-invasive and robotic spine surgery, spinal tumors, brain tumors, epilepsy surgery and peripheral nerve disorders.
