The Spine & Neuro Center at Huntsville Hospital offers the region’s largest, most experienced team of neurosurgeons – the only medical specialists trained to treat the brain and the entire spine. We are a multidisciplinary practice that also includes the medical specialty of physiatry – physical and rehabilitation medicine. The care we provide is complemented by physician assistants, certified registered nurse practitioners and physical therapists. We are the only center to offer this comprehensive care for your back, brain and extremities.

Neurosurgery is the medical specialization of diagnosing, treating, and when needed, performing surgery related to injury, disease or disorders of the spinal column, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, extra-cranial cerebrovascular system and brain. This medical specialty has more training on the spine and back than any other medical profession.

Our practice has been improving lives in North Alabama since 1963. With more than half a century of experience, patients can be confident we utilize the most advanced technologies, conservative therapies and the latest surgical and nonsurgical options to improve health.

Healthgrades announced that Huntsville Hospital is the only hospital in Alabama to be included in America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery.  The respected national organization also recognized Huntsville Hospital as the only one in Alabama to be among the Top 5% of hospitals in the nation for Spine Surgery for 2019.
